The Seven Years’ War – p. 92-95

-    The 13 Colonies was getting crowded, the English wanted to move WEST – but the French already claimed the land

-    French built FORTS on the land to protect it

-    This led to the Seven Years’ War starting

-    James Wolfe, British commander sent to capture Quebec

-    Louis Joseph de Montcalm, French commander was sent to protect Quebec City

-    The Battle of the Plains of Abraham happened when the English snuck up on the French in Quebec and defeated them (20 min battle)

The Treaty of Paris

-    France lost the Seven Years’ War and agreed to give England all their land in North America except 2 small islands

-    The agreement was called the Treaty of Paris
